Vangelis - Discografia 1971 - 2007

Evangelos Odyssey Papathanassiou, mas conocido como Vangelis, compositor de música electrónica, que nació en Volos, Grecia, en 1943.

Entre sus obras más conocidas destacan las bandas sonoras originales para las películas Carros de fuego - Chariots of fire (ganadora del Oscar a la mejor banda sonora en 1981), Blade Runner, y 1492: La conquista del paraíso, ademas de desarrollar una carrera paralela como pintor, habiendo realizado varias exposiciones internacionales.

Debutó en el mercado discográfico como teclista del grupo The Forminx, una de las muchas bandas juveniles que se forman a mediados de los sesenta para seguir la estela musical y estética de The Beatles.

Más tarde, Vangelis entra a formar parte de la banda de rock progresivo Aphrodite s Child junto a Demis Roussos (primo del artista) y Lucas Sideras.

Durante mediados de los 70, Vangelis está especialmente ocupado en la composición de varias bandas sonoras para películas independientes

Entre los años 1975 y 1980, Vangelis afianza su particular sonido mediante una serie de álbumes que, en muchos casos, surgen como evolución lógica unos de otros.

No es sencillo enmarcar su música dentro de un género en concreto, aunque es habitual que se le incluya entre las filas de las llamadas Nuevas Músicas, New Age, o de forma más amplia como músico clásico contemporáneo.

Céline Marie Claudette Dion nacio el 30 de marzo de 1968, es una cantante canadiense que ha vendido más de 200 millones de álbumes en todo el mundo. Graham Russell y Russell Hitchcock se conocieron mientras formaban parte de del elenco del musical Jesucristo Superstar en Australia: entre ensayo y ensayo notaron que eran capaces de componer melodías que sonaban bien. Así, en 1976, nació Air Supply, el dúo de vocalistas que repentinamente vivieron su momento de gloria en los primeros años de la década de los ochenta con un puñado de baladas melosas y sentimentales.
Con su autotitulado debut del '76, y más aún con Love & other bruises, del año siguiente, causaron un impacto inmediato y tan grande que Rod Stewart solicitó que fueran ellos quienes lo acompañaran durante su gira mundial de 1977.
